Pete may also be right that they are more prevelant in MI. However, again I think you'll find most of the Vanagon/Bus concentration towards thw West side of the state. I used to be the only one I knew of here on the East side of MI (have met others since finding the Buses by the Beach crew) - however in recent years we met a wonderful lady in Port Huron with a real nice '84 Westy. So there were two - then I briefly met a guy driving an '84 GL although he may not be in the area anymore. Even more recently (within the last few months) a local Lexington, MI guy got another '84 7 passenger Wolfsburg edition. So in the 20 mile area between Port Huron, MI and Lexington, MI there are now 2-3 '84 Vanagons, my '85 Vanagon, Our '78 Bus and a youngster with a '78 bus just around the corner from us. This doesn't include my buddy who is 15 miles to the west with a '85 GL too. man we've had a bus population explosion in our area I guess. Too cool.
