As a side note, the Megasquirt website recommends the Ford fuel pump from 89-93 F150's for generic fuel injection installations. $90 from Rock Auto for a decent brand (Delco).

You certainly don't need a vanagon specific pump, just one that makes adequate pressure for EFI.

Lisa's '86 2.9 liter Ford Bronco II used the exact same fuel pump. About half the price and every discount auto parts store in town has one on the shelf. I think that it was used on all late eighties Ford trucks. At least them that was FI.
