I camp to be with nature. I also camp to be with the kids and grandkids. I also camp to attend paddling events. I also camp to attend meetings in places that either don't have accommodations in the area or offer some great experience. Like someone already said, you end up gathering and taking what's appropriate, and eventually you even take as little of that as is possible.
