We bought our Westy from a woman who is the head of a county's adoption services here and I'm convinced had we not met her stringent requirements we would have have been permitted to purchase her "Max."

Outstanding.  I think this should be required reading for anybody considering Vanagon ownership. Selling a Vanagon is more like interviewing prospective adoptive parents, as far as I'm concerned!
