For me, a lot of that is a learning curve. Like manual transmission
R&R. Finally took the time to build what is, ironically, shown in the
Bentley manual; a small platform to support the transmission on the
jack. I cussed (profanity) much less using that on my floor jack.

As the years creep on, I learn more and more that there's no "free
lunch" and "nothing is perfect". We get back, more or less, what we
put into these beasts. Personally I see my sessions of profanity,
sweat, and tears as "paying if forward" to help ensure a more
enjoyable traveling and camping experience.

I mean, could you imagine maintaining and/or restoring an older RV?
