Sorry to say buddy boy none of the pop-tops were ever painted any colour. The colour comes from pigment put into the gel coat of the Fiberglas. The pigments used were either white or colour matched to the colour of the van. You will only be able to approximate the colour of your pop-top and this will have to be left up to the paint shop to figure out. Plus the painted part will be shinny and the pop-top will not if it's not been painted. Otherwise you will have to paint both pop-top and luggage rack if you want a uniform colour and sheen. The shop that screwed this up or should I say "unscrewed" should be paying for all this. They have no idea how big a problem they caused !

Urgent need to figure out what the color of my poptop is. I was able to get a new luggage rack and i'm sending it off to be painted tomorrow. Ideally we establish that my poptop is a stock color.

Background information: My poptop is not original to my vehicle. My vehicle is a sunroof bus and the previous owner added the poptop. The Poptop is factory without a sunroof/vent indicating to me that it's early (Pre '84?) (More likely even Pre '82?). The color is gray/blue.

Is this a stock color? If so, what model year/color combination was this offered on? (So the paint shop can look up the code)

We're getting closer to the point where I will tell the horse skull story.

Cheers,
