That's due to the extremely poor reflective ability of the DOT lenses. With E-code lenses I would expect that people might flash. With the DOT lenses and 80/100 bulbs I might get 75% of the lumens hitting the road that most modern vehicles have. When I do switch to the E-code or SA setup I probably will drop back down to 55/60 watt bulbs. I don't expect to blind anyone with 80/100 watt and DOT lenses. Still relatively anemic illumination with that combintation IMHO. ? David
