Burp tank! Now that is a new term. The only resistance you should measure is that of the coolant itself. No coolant, resistance should be near infinite. Most false triggers of the warning light circuit are not the fault of the sensor. First step is to remove the coolant sensor control from the relay panel. Ignition on the light should flash for a few seconds and turn off. If it stays on then the problem most likely is the dash panel.
