I've used any number of oil brands and never really noticed any diff. Oil threads are funny and are far less useful than tire threads, though you do learn a lot, but I pretty much forget most things anyway. As far as the BP boycott mentioned earlier, Castrol is owned by BP, so if he is unhappy with how BP is handling the spill and wants to quit purchasing their products, not purchasing Castrol products is sound thinking, as boycotts go.
