--snip-- However, after reading your advice as well as ny several others, I have come to the conclusion that troubleshooting the trans will require more time and effort than what is available to me. --snip-- One drop of oil on the driveway gets the local busybody running to the homeowner's association. --snip--

If you want to ship the trans to me I promise to give it a good home. : ) I assume you're talking about r&r-ing the tranny from the vehicle; I did part of my rebuild on the dining room table (my wife is used to these things, and wanted the van back on the road). The kids also wanted to "help". I read of a guy that kept his tools in a rental storage place near his home. He rented a unit that was large enough to get his vehicles into and used it for his "garage". Apparently the operators didn't care as long as he kept the floor clean. Seemed like a good solution for that problem.

Cya, Robert
