Matt, I have a good used shifter if this would help. I would like $75 for it. It is from a 93 EV manual trans that I parted out.

Just like in a vanagon, the shifter has 'fallen down' about 6 inches. i can't seem to figure out what is missing / broken and the book's schematics are not that helpful. Is this a common problem and should i just be able to call my favorite vendor and have them send me the part? it is NOT assembled like the vanagon shifter setup, but more like a golf/rabbit setup. I don't want to get too involved in this project, but would like to be a nice neighbor and help fix her rig, or at least, get it drivable enough so she can take it to my favorite shop for service. > > thanks > -matt > moscow ID > lots of vanagons, some of them are even 2wd! crazy stuff. > > > > "may the four winds blow you safely home" > >
