I have this. Its the "Lift n secure" system. I love it. I got it when
they went on sale for $150 before being discontinued---supposedly a patent
violation issue. I just looked today and found a refurbished one selling
from a sears in Missouri. Other than that I think they're gone forever,
unfortunately.
But yeah, you lock the stand in to the lifter, jack it up (and it lifts it
straight up) against your favorite jack point, it locks the stand into place
and you withdraw the lifter. It has always seemed super secure to me. (I
throw a couple extra jackstands around just to be on the safe side, though).
Its a real shame this is no longer available. When mine dies I'll miss it
dearly.
