I am a late comer to the Wiki thread, but I am wondering if anyone has queried the Internet Archive to attempt to recover the original vanagon wiki content using the Wayback Machine? To do so, you need to paste the original web page URL (as it originally was during the period in which you are interested), click the "take me back" button, then pick the date you want to check. If nothing comes up, the page/ site was never archived and you are really "outa luck". I have had good luck using this to check the web content for extinct web pages, and "404- File not found" dead links. Think of it either as a free global service for all mankind, or another example of Big Brother's efficiency... whatever. Gary MS Westy ('85) |
