My 93 had a temp/fuel gauge problem. It was a bad solder of the voltage regulator on the instrument panel. Re-soldering was the fix. The fuel gauge on mine was damaged before I figured out the repair, but half worked after. The temp gauge did not suffer the same voltage damage. This is a common problem in that year range.
