I'd suggest going by weight. I have an oldish Coleman unit that weighs eighteen and a half pounds; with the yellow indicator showing (but not far below the green) it won't quite crank the van fast enough to start; but after attempting that it enthusiastically started the 1.8l Prizm. I've mislaid my little magnetic ammeter so I can't say just what that is in amps.

To be fair, it's started the van very nicely as a booster when the van battery won't turn it over at all.

Yours, David
