Not to pollute / Hi-Jack this thread too much, but speaking of "portable", has anyone tried the 3-way absorption fridge that Mobicool sells? See http://www.mobicool.com/pages/products/outdoor/a40dcacgas_full.htm That link says 230 volts, but the North American one uses 110. Canadian Tire Sells it for $289.99. Links to their site often don't translate well, but I'll try. It's at http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/AutoAccessories/TravelCoolersWarmers/PRD~0370100P/3-Way%252BPower%252BCooler%25252C%252B40L.jsp?locale=en If you look at the following PDF http://www.leisurespares.co.uk/files/a_40_12_230_spare_parts_drawing.pdfyou'll see the guts look very much like a conventional absorption unit. It's a challenge to figure out who makes it too. Dometic? Waeco ? It seem "portable" and not too too expensive. ???
