Aren't Dynamit Nobel somewhere up in your neighborhood? I'm sure they can supply a properly stabilized universal unlatcher at nominal cost, or direct you to a distributor. Some people prefer the Czech competition as being easier to operate, but it leaves nasty black cobwebs all over everything.
