Of course you can! And to prove it all you'll need to do is get started, because after that you're committed. ;-)

Seriously, it doesn't sound as though it's out of your league at all, and you may tell SWMBO I said so. *Do* remember that heavy things fall, and don't be underneath them when they do. If you build a little frame over the motor hatch to hang a come-along from (very convenient, all that flat area), might pay to have someone standing by with a safety line taking up the slack, as come-alongs have been known to miss engagement occasionally.
