Subject: Radiator in - thanks to all
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I want to thank everyone for helping me with this project. I read through all the emails sent and I appreciate all the details like "watch out for the rubber washers at the top" which saved me from searching my lawn for parts. It took a little longer due to the fact I have AC, some rust and little annoyances like that little box (where you reset the O2 light) blocking the removal of the spare wheel carrier. I also decided to replace those 2 hoses, whether they were leaking or not, since I was down there, taking the advice from some list members and my own paranoia. Nobody had both VW hoses in stock so I armed myself with this link http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=267876 from Neil N and headed off looking for replacements. The nearby NAPA had the matching hoses though I had to come back in an hour for the second one to be delivered.

It's all bled out and it took FOREVER for the temp to get above the LED. 2 days ago it would have headed that way in 30 seconds. I had to wait a long time for the temp to come up but the fan came on as advertised. Bleeding was different this time as it was a continuing flow of coolant. Unlike my last radiator where it would eventually get continuous but still spurt air. I will bleed it again tomorrow.

Thanks,

Bryan
