Yeah, but if he paid 160 w/out the engine he paid way too much! In the early/mid 70's I bought maybe 20 vw's, inc so42, 21 window, etal, and usually in the 300 range, running well, never more than 500.

the oldest bus ive ever owned was a '67 deluxe.. i had all the parts  to restore it, but not the time or money to do the work..    sold it  to some kid in canada, like 12 yrs ago... he put a sunroof clip on it  making it a 21 window, and now its worth like fifty thousand dollars...  LOL    damn, i shoulda kept it!!
