A DK is a vast improvement to a Diesel Vanagon.
allows cruising at 65 mph instead of screaming its guts out at 58 mph.

in the stock set up, you get to 52 mph in top gear, and it feels just like
it's time to hit the next gear...
revs are high and power is dropping off ...but you've already been in top
gear since about 35 mph  - it's a joke.

the DK might be a tad tall in 1st gear, but not a problem really.

nope,  won't even begin  to fit into a Bay Bus without serious modification
to the Bus, unless the front shift cover of the Bus trans fits on the front
of the DK trans.
Get a Vanagon, an infinitely more evolved vehicle than any air-cooled Bus.
