Theoretically held up be Velcro strips, when mine was brand new it wouldn't stay up all night, usually dropping on my face at around 3am. I generally like the way VW designed the camper, but the light blocker was a joke.

I don't think {ve seen mine since 1986.

I guess it's an item that |could easily get lost or worn out, but mine is 19 years old and quite |servicable (I do wish it fit better). It's use is described in the owner's |manual, and I don't remember the term "optional" being with the |description. DMc |
