I can say on a waterboxer they are slightly different left and right.

if your ports line up , and there is no other reason why one side must be on it's correct side, I'd say you are all right. It's easy to get the intake port gaskets on backwards. one way is 'more right' than the other way. Have seen many of them installed incorrectly.

I got a dumb question, I am putting a new engine in my AC 82 Westy. I have I just redid my intake/ fuel rail all prety and new clamps and hoses. So now my question is are both intake tubes (left and right ) the same, for teh life of me I cant remeber how I pulled them off and they look so close to being the same, so anybody out tehre know if they are the same part and does not matter left to right?
