in my '91Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile with GoWesty 3-point (shoulder and lap) belts. When I put the bolts in on the receiver end (under the seat), the bolts would not go all the way in, but became very tight long before reaching the end of their travel. The attachment points to the body in the middle of the belts worked fine, but those had spacers. I saw no spacers for these bolts, but they act as if there should be. They were fully tight to the end of travel, holding the fittings tightly in place before, but now they do not tighten down properly. they just become tight but not snug up to the fittings. I suppose I could have lost spacers, but I sure did not see any. Any help that anyone can offer before I take this to a professional? I don't want to have anyone sit back there with the fittings not snugged down. I realize that I did not need to remove the receiver ends, but I did, and now I have this situation. -- David McNeely |
