Yes, that is where I would use it...I love to camp in the desert but am restricted to the cooler times of year. But I wasn't seriously thinking of using one, as it would still be too hot to hike and explore and that's why I go camping. For an extended trip or living in one's van it might be nice, though (in dry climates of course).
