dielectric grease. that'll do the same job quite well. officially a rubber boot would be part on an entire wiring harness..so not something you normally get easily. though there are companies that specialize in aftermarket ECU wiring harness and such .. and they might have individual connectors you can buy and rubber boots for them. What does Bostig use ? or Megasqirt, for example. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Evan Mac Donald" <evanm@ATT.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Sunday, June 13, 2010 1:13 PM Subject: Electrical Connector dust boots
I am trying to fix up the most egregious problems in my engine compartment, and some of the electrical connections fall into this category. I lost an injector, to corrosion eating the tabs! I am trying to find new replacements for the rubber parts of the two-lead connectors that are all over our engines - injectors, TPS switch, etc. Anybody know what I mean, and where to find them? I have searched, using all kinds of variations, but no luck so far... Thanks to all! |
