Jay,
You know, this sort of attitude really makes me angry. Speaking as
someone who uses an a/c when camping because of health problems let me
say in no uncertain terms that not only is it not "safe to say that
using AC, IS causing more problems LIKE asthma and other medical
problems then camping in the heat." but it is simply wrong. Whey you
are not disabled it is easy to be superior and say that a/c causes
medical problems and that we should not use an a/c... or what. Just
not camp?
Not to make too fine a point of it but if my wife is outside when it
is 100 F she will DIE! And due to a bad heart, I don't deal with heat
very well either - I once had a heat stroke when doing nothing much at
all and it was in the low 90s. We camp because we love it and find
most of the people we meet to be fine folks But there are a small
number of people that belittle us for staying inside our van with the
a/c on when it's hot. Usually, I just ignore such chatter but what
you have written is factually incorrect and more than I can ignore!
