Not all aftermarket skylights are the same, but the one I sell is comparable in fit and quality to the original. So you can install it without worries. However, like all of the aftermarket skylights, it is only single-pane construction. Anyone familiar with insulation and energy efficiency will tell you that dual pane construction roughly doubles the R value, so the OEM one will do a better job keeping your camper nice and comfy inside. Presently the OEM one is considerably pricier than the single-pane aftermarket one, at $130. But I have just started sourcing them directly from Europe, and by cutting out the middleman I will be dropping my price significantly. In about 4-6 weeks they will be $99.95. Still pricier than the aftermarket one (which I will continue to sell), but well worth considering at the new price.
