Another BTW, You don't want to use vanagon ball seat lugnuts, they don't fit the clk interior contour correctly. Vanagon ball seats are 14mm, and too large for the 12mm seat of the mercedes, even though the hole is drilled out to 14mm, you really need to use a 12mm ballseat there.

BTW, assuming you have the correct hardware to match the contours of the lughole. For example, you put a ballseat lugnut in a conical seat hole, you are applying the torque only in the portion that is touching. Think wooden ball on top of a book shelf vs. block of wood on the same shelf. Pressure would be at the point of the ball vs. Evenly distributed on the block of wood. Holding ability is dramatically different as torque on the wrong type of lugseat.
