Well, just who has an attitude of smug superiority -- those who question the exploitation of resources for the sake of small comforts, or those who oppose questioning? As someone else on the list said, we can discuss these things with friendship and civility. O those who prefer can attribute to others emotions and attitudes they don't have. I don't use air conditioning because for ME to do so would be immoral. I encourage others to think about the consequences of their using it. I don't feel superior, I just have to do what I have to do. DMc
