Hey I 'camped' a whole winter in Aspen, Co. in my split window bus..back in the day...No heat at all, not even when the engine would start and run. Would I have used a heater if I had one? Dang right!

Would I want AC if I were camping right now in the desert? Sure...but if I had any sense, I'd go camping in the mountains instead, or at the seashore. Or I would have an RV with a controllable inside climate....and I would go RVing..

What a silly thread. Don Hanson
