Ours is a manual.

But I have to say, this is happening just a few weeks after I dropped our transmission to change out the clutch and pilot bearing. Coincidence?? I usually would say no, but I've tried to go over all the related things that could make noises. It seems to me that any noise from the clutch apparatus or flywheel would probably have some discernable impact on how the clutch feels and works, but the clutch feels perfect and I have no shuddering. (Also, just to reiitterate, no noise at all when revving the engine at a stop. I think this rules out flywheel bolts, right?? It better, because I made sure to tighten them down hard, and I used new stretch bolts like the manual tells you to.)

I've also checked over my CV joint bolts.

Anyways, I'm headed back out to go under than the van to look for loose items, but so far I haven't found anything, which makes me worry its something internal and mechanical. But, I can't imagine what that could be which would seem to be completely unrelated to engine and wheel speed.

Thanks again, guys.
