Yes. RTV isn't going to stick to that polyethylene tank. Use something that stays sticky, or break down and get another grommet. I got some sticky gray stuff from local RV dealer, I *think* it's used to seal rooves. But it worked a treat sealing the bellows on my Porta-Potti where it plugged into the base.
