You're right, I got my hoses mixed up.

The water-in line comes from the outside port through a chubby articulated (like the flexible part of a flex-straw, but much larger) blue hose and dumps into the tank up the forward side of the tank.

The water-out line exits the tank on top, and is transparent, about 5/8'' o.d., and has a hose clamp on it. It is not the source of the "too full" leak.

The pump wire also exits the tank on top, through a black rubber grommet, which does not form a tight seal. Water can easily squirt out there.

The breather/vent hose also exits the tank on top, and is transparent, about 5/8'' o.d., and has a hose clamp on it. It goes forward a bit, then through a hole in the paneling near the filler port, but that hole is higher than the top of the tank so it's not real useful for overflow. Unless the top of the tank is 100% sealed there will be drippage. And drippage leads to rustage. And we don't like rustage. No sir, not one bit.
