This is dumb, but I have a commute car dilemma. I have a 99 TDI new beetle for commuting but miss the 93 VW cabriolet I had prior to that. I was looking on Craigslist for a decent Cab; is this just dumb - should I keep the TDI, or sell it and get a decent Cab? I only use the vehicle to commute to a train station for the rest of my ride to work, so that I don't put wear and tear on our Syncro plus the Syncro's lousy fuel mileage is a factor. I am in California and will have start "smogging" the TDI so that issue is done with.

thanks for any opinions. My husband thinks my cabriolet was "cute" and pretty much hates my New Beetle, so possibly that is a factor, plus I just miss the cab - it was triple white, leather, whole nine yards.
