similar vein... adapter for hi lift jack (with measurements if you want to make your own)

http://shufti.wordpress.com/2010/05/11/hi-liftjack-all-jack-adapter/

Michael S on list made the other type of adapter, more or less a solid rod that goes into jack point and then hi lift tongue can lift. Dimensioned drawing available for that too, drop me a line of you want them.

One of the best/most interesting adaptations I've seen for jacking points on a vanagon, so a "bumper jack" could be used, was a pipe welded to a flat plate of steel and reinforced so it would support the van. Slid into the stock jacking point on the van, and the jack just used the bottom of the steel plate as the jacking "perch". Worked too. One improved "mod" for it was adding another adapter that allowed the adapter to be use on the ends of the van at the 2" hitch receivers, especially for offroad situations.
