How to do it and what actually works and how it's done in the
commercial world are great things to know. There are a lot of
different ways to do what we do to these vans, hard to define the
correct way when there are a lot of different ways of doing any job.
It's the statements like 'You will be killed' or 'you're family will
die' or 'terrible things will happen if you don't do it this way' is
the bs I'm talking about (I have heard variations of all of those
from people on this list).
There are some places those statements will fit, drop a 'might' into
the statement and talk about gas or propane leaks, trusting a jack or
trusting someone else word about a gun being unloaded are good examples.
A "considerable number" of mechanics being injured without anything
to back it up is just another bs statement. I just get tired of it.
