I recently bought one of these after-market lug nut wrenches.

Mr. Lugnut - Lug Wrench http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Lugnut-4003-Telescoping-Handle/dp/B001RGW7NO The link above to Amazon is just an example, I got mine locally at the Kragen store (although they have some different name now). About $14.95. http://shop.oreillyauto.com/productdetail.aspx?MfrCode=MRL&MfrPartNumber=304001&CategoryCode=3189 Pep boys and Autozone didn't have any better options.

It is a breaker bar, but has a telescoping handle so it can store in less space. And has 4 sizes. Gave me a lot more confidence than those 4 way cross bars, and of course stores in much less space. Comes with a cheapo carry bag.

The reason I got it was to enable use of wheel locks I got from gowesty. They have a wheel lock set, but the key for the locking nuts uses a larger size than the standard vanagon lug nuts. So I have to carry 2 sizes anyway, one for regular lug nuts, and one for the key to the wheel locks. (that is I am pretty sure I got the wheel locks at gowesty, can't recall exactly, just looked and I don't see the product listed on their site anymore).
