I guess the bottomline is this a grey subject matter. Just as the original article brought emotional responses from both sides, albeit the larger portion were messages of condolences, it is expectedly polarizing some folks on the Vanagon List.

Personally, I do not object to the content even for a Monday. The warning is applicable to our daily use of Vanagons and Westies. However, it is one of those subjects better posted on a Friday.

It's been posted, responded, and commented by both moderators. Maybe it's time we give it a rest -- for now.

As always, the best rule when you think a posting is inappropriate, send a note to DavidB or BenT. We aimZ to puleeeze. Or at least will find a way to respectfully ask the poster to make some adjustments when wanting to post something equally interesting in the future.
