Subject: Passed California Smog Check after SubieVan sat for 5 years
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed; delsp=yes

I'm pretty stoked today. Took my aforementioned van to check emissions today. The van has been sitting for over 5 years. When I fired it up, it seemed to run so well that I decided to try the smog test without doing a single thing to the van. No tune-up. No nothing. Passed first time out with flying colors. I was astounded that it passed.

Now I am even more motivated to clean up this van. Just got AT service done. Added full suspension from dustcap to dustcap in the front including cast control arms. PS rack and all lines and hoses installed. AC lines done. Just need PS pump installed and frozen AC compressor replaced.

Once the mechanicals are cleaned up, I will finish the interior as well. Have the Weekender side panels with folding table installed. I just need to weld in the correct back seat latch to button up the bed/ bench. Adding jumpseats too.

That's it for now.

BenT
