On the contrary, I have no obligation to deal with your emotional issues;
aside from that I don't appreciate being called a liar. I also don't
appreciate people casually condoning and even recommending dangerous
practices on this list, as sometimes happens. People have enough problems
without other people leading them into something stupid because "nothing's
ever happened" to them.
IIRC I read the article about three years ago during another go-round on
this subject. It was a link on the main page of that organization's website;
I don't recall the name of it now and I didn't follow what happened with it
from there, but it was clear about what they were doing and why.
If you really wanted to know you could look it up, but that would require
opening your mind to possibilities outside of your narrow worldview instead
of being dismissive of them.

You're going to have to back that claim up... sounds like just
another internet story to me.
We are trying to keep 20+ yr old Vanagon running. I just don't see
why we can't pass on what works and what doesn't, there have been so
many stories and personal opinions on this thread. That happens on a
lot of threads...
So many things help us keep these machines running, so many people
helping each other. Did you try it? Did it work? Why didn't it work?
Did you do it yourself or have it done? Where did you find the parts?
Name brand? Part number? URL?
So many questions, so much help.
I guess someone coming out with outrageous claims about something
that is working and has been for some time with no problems is the
price we pay for this form of help and community.
That's how the list is... I guess I should learn to accept it cause
I'm sure as heck not going to be able to change it. Still at times I
get irritated with the bs.
