hey guys On the 2.1 has the odd bigger shim along with the three endplay shims . I think the bigger one is a kinda oil slinger and doesn't have anything to do with the endplay. I have never seen one left out so I don't know what it would do . the 1.9 just has the three shimms like most other VW flat 4 cly motors do later mark d
