get good H4 rounds. Bosch or Hella ...maybe Pensioner will chime in with his fav Cibie Z beams :)

In my mind there is no comparison to DOT pattern lights.

And install relays, even if you stick with the standard wattage.

I have had Bosch and Hella, both pretty good, and with 100/80 watt bulbs they are great. The sharp cut off makes running high wattage bulbs ok in respect to fears of blinding oncoming traffic.

You won't regret it at all.

My 84 has round headlights. I want to get better lighting without joining the Purple Death Ray Headlights club and being obnoxious. I just put in headlight relays. Snazzy.

The existing lamps are sealed beam* size type 2D1 lenses with halogen bulbs behind them.

I'm wondering if something like Bus Depot's Euro H4 headlights** would be worth getting. At $44 a pair they seem a deal.

I understand they are not DOT approved.

If aimed correctly, are they obnoxious to oncoming drivers? Would they be significantly better than what I now have?
