If you can get the tube area squeaky clean with steel wool and acetone etc, I'd try that rubber tape that 3M sells to repair extension cord insulation; very stretchy and then cover it with 33+ or 88+. Eventually you'll want to do one of those spring loaded replacements when the time and money are there. I think they're like $20 each. There's no pressure other than the whatever crankcase pressure is inside the block. Good luck DM&FS
