Oh I had been wanting to jump in on this one, but did not know how.....at last... Dear Mr Boosted Rolling tissue box...... I know this is not the Mk1/A1 world where I live most of the other time, but I seem to recall that in A1's (sciroccos, rabbits, jettas...) that the wiper stalk had a clip in place that prevented the push motion seen in vehicles with rear wipers. Take the clip off and you had the wiper stalk for the wiper equipped vehicles. VW's track record of doing the same thing over may lead to the perception that this would be true for the Vanagons.... Can anyone check?
