My van is an '84 standard passenger setup. The middle seat removed and the back seat replaced with a convertible bed, full width. I carry a box for cookware etc. and a cooler behind the front seats. Over the front seats is an aftermarket sunroof and I have 3 Yakima rack cross bars on the roof for carrying bikes, kayaks, and skis, sometimes all at once. I can carry full sheets of plywood and 10 foot lumber as well as tools when I don't want to use my work truck. The non pop top is beneficial when stealth camping, like at an expensive hotel where my high school reunion was held a few years ago. All the back windows are tinted for privacy. Bottom line is it is versatile. For general car camping we set up an outdoor kitchen. Doug E. '84 Van-Go '67 vw convertible Vert-i-go |
