IIRC when Jim Akiba was explaining why he settled on the Zetec for their conversions, he had eliminated a number of engines based on (among other things) availability, initial cost, cost of parts/service, availability of parts (if you got stuck in Idaho on a Saturday afternoon, for instance) and so on. There are a lot of factors to consider in picking a conversion; I could put my hands on a GM drivetrain much more readily and inexpensively than I could an Audi drivetrain. It might be just that he has some familiarity with that engine, though he's certainly not the first guy to consider a Buick 6- I've seen it come up several times. I believe Neil was discussing it before he went with his I4 (if that's the same Neil).

I'm more interested in seeing if he pulls off the configuration than I am in which drivetrain he's using.

Cya, Robert

well I personally don't give a damn what he thinks . I do know I have seen the audi 2.8L v6 with over 300K on them, never seen a chrysler make it that far since the old good slant 6
