Eric,

Whether a Vanagon is converted or stock, it is Vanagon specific and belongs here.

The point was NOT that vendors can't sell in their own website. It is about giving credit where credit is due. Inquiry was ONLY through eBay. Credit belongs to them. If Seller choses to sell outside of that venue, they should follow rules they agreed to abide by. They could have just said, "No, we are not listing that item on eBay." instead of saying I should just go to their website to buy it.

I said thanks but I would rather wait when they have the item listed in eBay again. I was told they are not organized at the moment and will be a long time before they list the item again. I declined with an explanation that I would only buy if I can have eBay protection. Seller response still insisted I buy from their site only. They added that my experience with previous vendors who asked me to do the same thing they are asking, which resulted in an unsatisfactory transaction, has nothing to do with them.

Anyway, I'm glad that you had a positive experience with this vendor. Not everyone had the same experience. I was interested in hearing both sides. Now I've read quite a lot.

Thank you for your input. Issues about appropriate Vanagon content should be ran pmail through the mods. I'd rather read about Vanagons coverted to use Isetta engines than about much of the fluff proliferating on the List these past couple of days.

Regards,

BenT
