Hi David,

In my wolfsburg/carat configuration the pop-up table is hinged directly to the driver's side interior wall and it is only about half the width of the Vanagon. There is no cabinetry on either wall.

With the table out (horizontal) and the bed down I can still get past it easily to exit.
