Thanks to all of you who wrote and called me regarding what I thought
was a big problem that turned out to be a little problem. As many of
you guessed correctly, the culprit was a rear CV joint that had come
loose. It was the left inner which dropped down on the skid rail, so I
did not see anything wrong at first. Once I did, I was on a mission to
bolt it back up and try to make the ferry at Anacortes. Mind you, I
was in Portland when this happened. Stopping only for gas, I made it
with about 15 minutes to spare! I was finally able to get into town
today and found a wifi signal out here on Lopez Island. Sorry for not
getting back to all of you sooner!
